Cut: This laser engraver will cut through the material on red lines.
Outline: Laser engraver will treat these like cut lines, but move quickly to score the material instead of cutting all the way through.
Engrave: Hatched areas on this layer will be filled in by the laser.
1. Select File > New and choose the Laser-Template.dwt.
2. Import your image for tracing. Skip this step if you are designing your own pattern.
3. Trace outline and cut lines, then hatch shaded areas.
4. Cut and engrave using the laser engraver.
The example below will demonstrate some tools to help with speed, accuracy and curves.
Lines vs. Arcs
When tracing around curves, using the 3-POINT ARC will give you much better results than the LINE tool.
